My name is Jack Lyons, and I am the founder of Plinth-Labs. I studied architecture at Pratt Institute in New York after graduating from UWC Atlantic College in the UK.

I grew up in Sag Harbor, where my roots have deeply shaped my understanding of community and place. My professional journey has taken me abroad—most recently working with the Berlin-based startup RAUS, where I contributed to the design and deployment of modular prefabricated housing units in Germany. This experience gave me a first-hand view of how design innovation can address urgent housing challenges.

 

Inspired by these lessons, I’ve turned my focus back to the Hamptons. My work is centered on creating sustainable, affordable housing for essential workers, ensuring that those who support our communities can also live within them. At Plinth-Labs, we approach this mission with a commitment to architectural quality, cultural heritage, and the environmental beauty of Eastern Long Island.
